HIGH SCHOOL and college
He went to Carrabassett Valley Academy for college
it is a skiing school out west
By the time Bode began high school, he was an accomplished tennis player he would become state champ in his age group. Thanks to his leg strength, balance, and footwork he had developed on Cannon Mountain, Bode was also a great soccer player. By the age of 11, he was the star of the local junior ski team. He was fearless and fast. When Bode’s coach explained he would have to change his technique to get better. Bode called him stupid ending any chance he had of making the junior Olympic team.
His coaches didn't want to coach him because he did so much wrong but was so fast.

Professional career
One of the most successful alpine skiers in American history, New Hampshire's Bode Miller has captured the attention of the world with his incredible athletic balance and ability to produce jaw dropping performances on skis. Raised in an electricity free home, the two-time World Cup overall champion, four-time World Champion and five-time Olympic medalist has risen to become one of the most prolific international athletes.
If there were any questions on the kind of 2012 season Miller would produce, he answered them in early December with his career third victory at the storied Birds of Prey downhill in Beaver Creek, CO – home of the 2015 World Championships. The result was a statement and one that he backed up in Europe with a super G second in Val Gardena, Italy just .3 from the win and then again in Chamonix, France where he missed the downhill victory by .01, the slimmest margin in racing.

Personal Life
Alot has changed for since the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy, and fatherhood is at the top of the list. He welcomed a daughter Neesyn Dacey in Feb. 2008, Bode has been a good dad, soaking up every moment he has with his 2-year-old little girl.
Bode obsesses on his equipment, endlessly tweaking and experimenting. His crazy training methods have irked his coaches since he was a teenager.
Bode is so exciting to watch because he never slows down, no matter where he is in the standings. And he will risk everything to go faster, ever in pursuit of that perfect run.
